Citi Layoff 2024 Calendar. Citigroup is planning to lay off 20,000 employees, or about 10% of its workforce, in the next two years as it comes off its worst quarterly financial results in more than a decade. According to filings with the state labor department, citigroup is cutting about 430 job positions at its new york office.
The layoffs come as the banking. Citi said in january that it plans to cut 5,000 jobs from the managerial delayering, 5,000 from selling businesses, and 10,000 from cutting headcount in support functions like technology and operations.
